I maybe unsure about a career choice, but what I do know is that I want to travel. I can't think of anything better than exploring the world, experiencing different cultures and foods, and learning about their histories and heritage.
When my school promoted an opportunity to travel to Cambodia to spend a month in the summer of 2016 to provide support and improve facilities within a poor rural community, I did not think twice. I admit the cost of the trip was daunting, but I felt sure that it was definitely something I could commit to and achieve.
I should be able to fund most of the trip myself through my job at Westcroft Leisure Centre, but I will need to achieve a certain level of fundraising too. This latest challenge is to cycle from London to Amsterdam. It's over 300 miles over four days, but I get to travel through Calais, Rotterdam, Brugge and Amsterdam. No time for sightseeing, but I am really looking forward to the challenge.
