The picture below is of our very good family friends, Lisa and her daughter Molly. Lisa has known me all my life. Molly and I are the same age and we went to the same Infant and Junior schools. We may have gone to different secondary schools but she still remains a very good friend of mine.
I think Lisa is the most amazing and inspirational woman. She may be an MS sufferer but she always tries her very best to live life to the full and provide a full and happy life for Molly. Of course, there are times when the pain can be unbearable and the spasms too debilitating but it is very rare that you don't see a smile on Lisa's face. I also think that Molly is exceptional as her young carer and I am really pleased that her school has recognised this over the years.
Lisa has been an incredible support to me in my fundraising activities and I can't think of a better charity to support than one that not only supports her now but one that maybe one day in the future will have a cure for this dreadful disease.
